Mobile: one tile per album on TIDAL artist pages, switch versions on the album - #86
TIDAL artist page: the discography folds an album's explicit, clean and Dolby Atmos copies into one tile ("2026 · Single · 2 versions") with core's foldReleaseVersions. The fold rules are the same as desktop's: title, version name, year, single vs other, and duplicate copies dropped. The tile opens the stereo explicit copy, and the route carries the artist (artist param).
TIDAL album page: the switcher above Play finds the album's versions among the releases of artist, else of the album's own artist_id once it loads. It uses the same qk.tidalArtist query as the artist page, so it's cached from there (lib/release-versions.ts).
Switcher (components/library/release-version-picker.tsx): the labels come from releaseVersionLabels and name only what differs. Up to three versions get the glass segmented control. Past three, a SwiftUI menu lists each version's full description and ticks the current one, with an action-sheet fallback when ExpoUI isn't in the binary.
Switching calls router.setParams({ id, artist }), which swaps the page in place like a tab, so Back still leaves the album. keepPreviousData keeps the previous version up while the next one loads, with its rows dimmed and inert and Play/Download disabled (AlbumHeader gets versions and pending).
GlassSegmentedControl labels stay on one line and shrink to 0.8 to fit a slot. The other users (search, browse, the artist filter) have short labels and look unchanged.
Why
The phone showed the same single twice (explicit and clean copies) on a TIDAL artist page. Desktop has folded these since #77, and its "mobile doesn't fold" follow-up is this PR.
Verification
npm run typecheck (app + tests), npm run lint, npx vitest run: 52 files, 472 tests pass.
New tests/tidal-album-versions.test.tsx covers: the switcher from the artist it was opened from; asking the album's own artist; no switcher without other versions or without an artist; the pending state while a version loads; setParams carrying the artist. tests/search-failures.test.tsx gains a fold test and expects artist in the release route.
Not run on a device (no Expo runtime here). JS only, so it ships as an OTA.
…the album
TIDAL lists an album's explicit, clean and Dolby Atmos copies as separate
albums, so a mobile discography showed a release two or three times. The
TIDAL artist page now folds them with core's foldReleaseVersions, as the
desktop page has since #77: one tile ("2026 · Single · 2 versions") that
opens the stereo explicit copy.
The album page finds its other versions among the releases of the artist
it was opened from (passed in the route, so it's cached from the artist
page), else the album's own artist once it loads. A switcher above Play
names only what differs (Explicit | Clean | Dolby Atmos): segments up to
three versions, a native menu past that. Picking one swaps the page in
place, keeping the previous version up, dimmed, until the next one loads.

TIDAL artist releases are grouped by version, and album routes now carry artist context. Album detail screens display a version picker and retain the previous album while a selected version loads. The header and tracks reflect the pending state. Tests cover grouping, navigation, switching, and loading.

Summary
Version data and artist navigation mobile/app/(tabs)/(library,browse)/tidal-artists/[id].tsx, mobile/lib/release-versions.ts, mobile/tests/search-failures.test.tsx
Artist releases are folded by version. Artist album routes include the artist ID. The new hook retrieves matching versions, and tests cover release folding and route parameters.
Album version picker and switching mobile/components/library/release-version-picker.tsx, mobile/components/glass-segmented-control.tsx, mobile/components/album-header.tsx, mobile/app/(tabs)/(library,browse)/tidal-albums/[id].tsx, mobile/tests/tidal-album-versions.test.tsx
The picker uses a segmented control for up to three versions and a menu for larger lists. Selecting a different release replaces the album route while preserving the artist. During loading, the previous album remains visible, tracks are dimmed and non-interactive, and header actions are disabled.

Constraining version labels to one line and a minimum 0.8 font scale can truncate distinguishing text when three long labels share a narrow album-header width; the added item padding further reduces available width.
Sighted users may see indistinguishable segment labels and select the wrong version.
This can occur when: Three versions have labels such as Dolby Atmos · Explicit and Dolby Atmos · Clean on a narrow device or with enlarged text.

Update the version-label Text props so long labels can wrap instead of being
constrained to one line and scaled down; ensure distinguishing text such as
“Explicit” and “Clean” remains visible in narrow album headers.
Add a four-version test for the ReleaseVersionPicker menu path.
ReleaseVersionPicker renders GlassSegmentedControl for three or fewer versions. For more than three, it renders a SwiftUI Menu when getOptionalSwiftUI() returns a value, and otherwise a Pressable that calls showActionMenu. The fixtures in mobile/tests/tidal-album-versions.test.tsx use two versions, so only the segmented path runs. No test file references ReleaseVersionPicker, so a regression in the menu path would not fail the suite.
Add a four-version case that opens the menu and asserts the onPick selection on both the SwiftUI path and the showActionMenu fallback. That test file already mocks ../lib/action-menu, so the fallback path can assert on that mock.

Add a four-version test for the ReleaseVersionPicker menu path in the album
versions tests, covering both when getOptionalSwiftUI() provides a SwiftUI Menu
and when it falls back to showActionMenu. Verify that selecting a version
invokes the expected onPick behavior in each path, using the existing
action-menu mock for the fallback.
Assert the pointer-events guard in the pending test.
The pending test checks only that AlbumHeader receives pending: true. It does not check the track rows that stay visible during a switch. The fixture track is also titled "Powiedz To", so the existing html assertion can match the header title alone. Track rows do render in this test. The View mock drops pointerEvents, so removing pointerEvents="none" from the dimmed row wrapper leaves the markup unchanged and this test still passes.
While switching is true, the screen wraps each TrackRow in <View pointerEvents="none"> and still passes onPress={onTrackPress}. If the wrapper is removed, rows of the previous album remain pressable. To cover the guard, forward pointerEvents through the View mock and assert it:
The real AlbumHeader disabled states on Play and Download are not covered here, because the test mocks the whole component. A separate test would need to render the real component, and its Pressable mock would then need to forward disabled and onPress.

Review fixes:
- A version that can't load, because it failed or is waiting offline,
shows the error with the picker kept above it, rather than the
previous version dimmed for good (offline) or a page with no way back
(failed).
- Dimmed rows are hidden from VoiceOver too, and every row keeps one
wrapper, so a switch no longer remounts them.
- The menu's tick moves by remounting the two items it moves between,
rather than clearing a native prop.
- Tests cover the menu past three versions, the keep-previous wiring,
the failed and offline switches, and AlbumHeader's disabled buttons.

Review fix (CodeRabbit): three versions such as Stereo | Dolby Atmos ·
Explicit | Dolby Atmos · Clean cut both Atmos labels to "Dolby Atmos…"
in a third of a phone's width. Segments now need every label to fit
(12 characters); otherwise the versions go in the menu, which names
each one in full.

Re CodeRabbit's follow-up on glass-segmented-control.tsx:95-97 (long labels truncating): fixed in 4638103. The segmented control is now used only when there are up to three versions and every label is at most 12 characters, which a third of a 375 pt control shows in full. Anything longer, such as "Dolby Atmos · Explicit", goes to the menu, which lists each version's full description. Covered by the test "lists versions in a menu when their labels are too long for segments" in mobile/tests/tidal-album-versions.test.tsx.
Review fixes:
- "Try again" on a version that failed put its query back to pending,
so the previous version's tracks flashed up dimmed until it failed
again. A switch to a version that has already failed now stays on the
error, reading "Retrying…".
- The SwiftUI menu's ticked item is disabled, as the action-sheet
fallback's is.

… again
Review fix: a query's error count survives in the cache (gcTime is 7
days), so picking a version that had failed once, even when it now
loaded fine, showed the error and "Retrying…" until it arrived. Picking
a version whose cached state is a failure with no data now removes that
query first: the pick starts at zero and shows the previous version
dimmed, while "Try again" on the error still keeps the count.
